The official timetable for the 2023 Asia Cup has been released. This tournament
will take place in both Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Below is the detailed schedule
for the Asia Cup 2023, which includes the complete list of matches, dates,
locations, and match times.
The 2023
version of the Asia Cup will follow the 50-over cricket format and will serve
as a preliminary event before the World Cup later this year. After much
discussion and adjustments due to political tensions between Pakistan and
India, the Asia Cup schedule has finally been unveiled.
It was
previously known that the Asia Cup matches would be split between Pakistan and
Sri Lanka, with India's matches scheduled to be held in Sri Lanka. However, the
preliminary version of the match schedule underwent several changes before the
Asian Cricket Council finalized the current version.
Initially, the
six teams will be split into two sets of three teams each. The leading two
teams from each group will advance to the Super Fours stage. From the Super
Fours, the top two teams will proceed to the Final showdown. Here's an overview
of how the teams will be grouped:
Group A: Pakistan,
India, Nepal
Group B: Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka
